Computer Hardware Devices


Power Supply - convert alternating current (AC)power to direct current (DC) power.



Computer CaseContains  the framework to support a computer’s internal components.



 Motherboard - The main printed circuit board. Contains the buses or electrical pathways found in a computer.




Central Processing Unit (CPU) -  Considered as the brain of the computers. The speeds of the CPU is measured in millions cycle per second mega hertz (MHz) or billions cycle per seconds Giga hertz (GHz).





Random Access Memory (RAM) - Temporary storage of data and programs that are being accessed by the CPU. RAM is volatile memory.





Hard Disk Drive (HDD) - A magnetic storage device that is installed inside the computer. Hard drive is used as permanent storage for data.




Optical Drive - Is a storage device that uses laser to read data on the optical media.


Video Card - expansion card or video adapter that allows the computer to send graphical information to a video display device such as a monitor or projector.
